Chromium picolinate is a very popular supplement used by diabetics for lowering their blood sugar levels.
A well-designed clinical study involving 63 non-diabetic over weight patients showed that taking 1,000 mcg of chromium didn't have any effect on glucose metabolism, body weight and cholesterol levels.
