How to Make Acne Scars Go Away
Discover how
to make acne scars go
away using natural remedies
Do you ever wonder if you
can get acne scars to fade away? It all depends on how severe the acne
is in
the first place as well as the type of scar involved.
The truth is severe or extensive
acne scarring will not fade away without treatment of some kind. There
are many
options available including laser treatments and bleaching creams and
gels. One
common method used is microdermabrasion.
But have you consider home
and natural remedies at all? Some of them are helpful in making acne
scars fade away and appear less noticeable. Of course, natural remedies
take longer to
work so do
not expect quick results.
Wash your face
properly to remove dirt and excess oil but avoid washing your face too
frequently as it can dry the skin out too much (twice daily is usually
enough). This in turn causes your skin to respond by making even more
oil.
Lemon
Juice Home Remedy
Lemon juice is
a very
popular choice. Squeeze the juice from a lemon and mix it with 250 mL
(1 cup)
of lukewarm water. Gently apply the mixture to the scarred areas and
leave it
on for several minutes. Do this daily. Lemon juice will slowly fade the
scar
over time and make it less visible.
Baking
Soda Home Remedy
Baking soda
makes for a fine
scrub. It’s very similar to a microdermabrasion treatment, except you
can do this
at home and it is way cheaper! Mix about 30 g (1 ounce) of baking soda
with just
enough water to make it into a somewhat thick paste.
Then gently rub this paste
in circular motion for 1 minute on the acne scars. Rinse off the face
with
lukewarm water. This treatment exfoliates the dead skin cells on the
surface
and helps to make acne and acne scars go away.
Olive
Oil
Olive oil
seems to have
chemical properties that can help fade scars and rejuvenate the skin.
Apply a
small amount of this oil once or twice daily to help diminish acne
scar marks.
Calamine
Lotion
This lotion is
best known
for use when a person suffers from chickenpox. However, it can also
help to
fade the red acne marks and cut down on skin discolorations. Apply the
lotion
using a cotton-tip swap directly on the acne scars just before you go
to bed.
Rinse off gently the next morning.
Vitamin
E Apply a small
amount of
vitamin E using a cotton-tip swab once or twice daily. Vitamin E adds
moisture
to the skin and can reduce the appearance of acne scars.
