Uva Ursi Benefits and Side Effects for Bladder Infection

I had a lot of luck in using uva ursi to treat bladder infections. I find that the tincture is best for me and the dose recommended is 5 mL taken four times daily.
My herbalist told me that it contains many active chemicals one of which is hydroquinone. This chemical destroys bacteria.
Of course, I drink cranberry juice daily so that I don't get bladder infections in the first place but it's great to know that the herb uva ursi can get the job done when I need it. It also works like a prescription water pill acting as a diuretic.
I should mention that I also take vitamin C to keep my immune system in top shape. You should not ignore the health benefits of taking this important vitamin.
There are very few side effects as long as you keep within the recommended dosage. I am so glad that I haven't experienced any side effects at all.
